<image:caption>Managing your pain starts with direct contact and assessment. Our manual therapy approach incorporates the world leading research and practices of Stecco Fascial Manipulation® , cupping, IASTM, active release techniques, and mobilizations/manipulations. By restoring proper anatomy, alignment, and tissue length, manual therapy primes your body for a faster healing response, increased mobility, and a restoration of pain-free movement and optimized movement.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Services - Therapeutic Exercise</image:title>
<image:caption>Activating the right musculature starts with individualized and specific exercises to correct your movement faults and pain-inducing actions. Manual therapy places our body in a position to succeed but it is movement correction and strengthening that allows the results to last. Movement training and strengthening allows the body to regain normal range of motion, eliminate the injurious patterns that compensations have caused, and increase functional strength. Motion is lotion and is the single, most effective medicine for our bodies.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Services - Dry needling</image:title>
<image:caption>Dry needling is a technique designed to treat and resolve musculoskeletal and fascial pain. It involves the insertion of acupuncture needles into the soft tissues of the musculoskeletal system as a means to promote healing within the body using the body’s natural healing and pain management mechanisms. The results can be and often are immediate with noticeable decreases in pain and increases in range of motion.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Services - Movement Analysis / Risk Assessment</image:title>
<image:caption>It is standard practice to go to the dentist at least once a year and our primary care physician for our annual physical and bloodwork… but when was the last time you had your body checked? Pain is not the normal and just because it stopped hurting, doesn’t mean that the body is ‘healed.’ Often, that means something else has adapted and compensated to allow for that tissue to heal. Just because it has healed, doesn’t mean that you will start using that weakened tissue. Come in and get checked. Don’t let your pain return and be a limitation. Get ahead of the curve and learn what you can do now to correct and prevent pain.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Movement Analysis Risk - Movement Analysis / Risk Assessment</image:title>
<image:caption>Our current healthcare system is based on reactive treatment: meaning we only treat things after something happens. The one medical field that doesn’t? Dentistry. We often go there to get checked in fear of a costly dental work and possible disease. Why don’t we treat the rest of our body the same way? W Movement’s goal is to prevent injuries BEFORE they happen in order to keep our community healthy. Our goal is nothing more than helping our patients avoid using medicines to “manage” pain and return them to hiking, running, playing with their kids, or return to the gym. Don’t let those same old injuries keep you from the things you love. Fear and age doesn’t have to be an excuse any longer. Did you know you can identify individuals who are high-risk for knee replacements, years in advance? We offer a 30 minute FREE assessment to identify any risk factors that may lead to injury and/or is currently limiting you from the activities that you want to do. We will walk you through a movement screen to see if there any areas of weakness or compensations that need to be addressed. From there we will do a thorough assessment from head-to-toe to if there are concerns both with your soft tissue or your joints. If there are deficits that you would like to address, we can offer options for receiving a full evaluation and treatment session in order to create a custom program that will be tailored to meet your specific needs.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Dr. Elijah Chiang is a native Arizonan and attended high school at Corona Del Sol. He is an alumni of Claremont Mckenna College and received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from top-ranked Washington University in St Louis. Upon graduation, Elijah has further advanced his movement analysis skills with additional certification and courses on different movement analyses. He has also added a number of manual skills to his toolbox with additional courses in dry needling, fascial manipulation, IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization), and cupping. Elijah has extensive experience working with all populations due to his many years in outpatient orthopedics. Through his experiences he has developed additional experience with working complex patients and has achieved successful outcomes with chronic pain, pain management, CRPS, digestive and reproductive issues, and fibromyalgia. He has also a long athletics background with collegiate level football and has worked extensively with professional athletes(UFC, MLB, etc.) to the average weekend warrior. He can often be found teaching, whether internationally in Taiwan or at various local workshops. However, his largest interests usually include sharing recipes, talking about food, lamenting about his favorite sport teams, and enjoying the outdoors.</image:caption>

She went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Midwestern University in Arizona. During her clinical rotations, Maddie trained under Dr. Elijah Chiang, which inspired her passion for root-cause physical therapy and fascial manipulation. She holds certifications in dry needling, fascial manipulation, and is trained in cupping and IASTYM. Maddie has experience working with a broad range of populations, which she loves because no two patients are exactly alike. She specializes in creating individualized treatment plans tailored to each person’s unique needs. Her experience spans from female athletes to MLB, and those with long standing chronic pain. Outside of work, Maddie’s passions revolve around wellness.
