Strength Training That Makes Sense
You wouldn’t build a house without a blueprint. Your strength training shouldn’t be guesswork.
Doctor-guided strength training designed for bodies with a history.
You don’t need to be injured to train here.
You just need a place where strength training makes sense.
As physical therapists, we repeatedly saw the same problem.
Patients would finish rehabilitation feeling better, but weren’t confident enough to exercise on their own. Doctors would tell them they needed to “exercise more,” yet many had no clear guidance on how to do it safely.
Traditional gyms often felt overwhelming or risky for people managing pain, prior injuries, or complex medical conditions.
So we created Foundation.
Foundation was built to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and lifelong strength training. We made a place where people can continue building strength with thoughtful guidance, expert programming, and a calm, supportive environment.
Classes
Who wants to create more problems when trying to fix another?
Research consistently shows that resistance and weight training are some of the most effective ways to support bone health for individuals with osteopenia and osteoporosis. However, loading the body without proper guidance can increase the risk of injury.
This class is designed to help you build strength and confidence safely and progressively. Rather than jumping straight into heavy weights, we focus first on establishing strong weightlifting fundamentals—teaching proper posture, movement patterns, and safe loading strategies so your bones can adapt gradually over time.
Each 45–60 minute session blends education with guided exercise in a supportive, partner-based environment. Participants will practice movements together, learn how to give and receive feedback, and develop the skills needed to safely challenge themselves as they progress.
Our goal is not just to help you exercise during class, but to teach you the principles of safe strength training so you feel confident continuing these exercises on your own in the gym. Over time, you’ll learn how to progress your workouts, load your bones effectively, and stay active while protecting your joints and spine.
We all start somewhere.
This class is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to strength train safely and effectively. Rather than jumping straight into intense workouts, we focus on building a strong foundation by teaching proper lifting technique, body mechanics, and fundamental movement patterns.
Participants will learn key exercises such as squatting, hinging, pushing, pulling, and carrying, while gradually building strength and confidence in a supportive small-group environment. Each session combines instruction, practice, and coaching to help you understand not just what to do, but why you’re doing it.
Our goal is to give you the knowledge and skills to feel comfortable strength training—whether that’s progressing within the class or confidently working out on your own in the gym.
It’s time for YOU. They say to put your mask on before you put on your children.
This class is designed for mothers or other women who want to rebuild strength, stability, and confidence after pregnancy and the physical demands of motherhood. Pregnancy and childbirth can change how the body moves and supports itself, and this class focuses on restoring the foundation of strength through guided, progressive exercise.
Sessions emphasize breathing, core stability, pelvic support, posture, and full-body strength in a supportive small-group environment. Participants will learn safe movement patterns and gradual loading strategies that help rebuild strength without overloading areas that may still be recovering.
Whether you are recently postpartum or years into motherhood, our goal is to help you restore your foundation so you can move, lift, and exercise with confidence again.
